The Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering are looking to recruit an Outreach Manager to develop and deliver a Faculty-wide outreach strategy designed to raise awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, and to encourage the recruitment and conversion to Newcastle STEM degrees of high quality undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds.

A motivated and results driven individual, you must possess an Honours degree (preferably in a STEM subject) or equivalent. This will be underpinned by an understanding of the complexities of recruitment to STEM subjects and of widening participation issues.

In your position as line manager of a new outreach team, you will have the ability to lead and develop individuals and teams. Your excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills will mean you are able to build effective working relationships with a range of staff across the institution.

You will have experience of strategy development and of developing systems to facilitate organisation and delivery of outreach activity. You will possess excellent analytical and project management skills and a creative approach to problem solving.
