The Education and Student Experience Directorate is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to support its busy Politics Office. This is a full-time post, fixed term post (maternity cover) based in the Amory Building on the Streatham Campus.

The Administrative Assistant will be a part of the Social Science and International Studies facing Education Team embedded within the University’s wider Education and Student Experience Directorate. The post-holder will work closely with, and report to the Senior Administrator in the Politics department.

The Administrative Assistant will;

  • Provide dedicated support to the academic staff based within the Politics department, across a range of activities, especially in relation to teaching programme administration and discipline-level organisation;
  • Support specialist administrative tasks and provide support and advice/guidance to students, in line with College and Politics Department.
  • Work effectively within a wider administrative team to deliver a “seamless service” to students, staff and external contacts to the College and Politics Department.

Applicants should have recent administrative experience ideally in a higher education and customer focused context and proven team working ability.
