The Assistant Head of Student Wellbeing Services (Counselling and Mental Health) is a new role within the Directorate of Student and Academic Services. The main purpose of the role is to provide effective leadership and management of the counselling and mental health services. Working with the Head of Student Wellbeing Services you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high quality professional clinical practice, which will effectively support our student’s mental health and wellbeing.

You will demonstrate a proven track record in managing a multidisciplinary team, as well as holding relevant qualifications and professional membership/accreditation in counselling and mental health care.

In addition you will enjoy the challenge of creating new ways to deliver a responsive service which meets the changing needs of our students. You will demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload. You will also have the ability to provide information, training, advice and consultancy support for staff throughout the university.

The post-holder will be required to attend Open Day and Student Recruitment events outside of normal office hours, as part of a team rota.
