The School of Engineering are looking to recruit to the post of Administrative Officer, an exciting and varied role working across the School to manage the School’s Administrative Office and to provide administrative and project management support to the School’s Senior Management Team.

The post holder will manage the School’s Administrative Office ensuring that a high quality, friendly, customer focused and efficient service is provided to all staff and students. They will also provide high level administrative support to the Senior Administrative Officer and Head of School, gaining a broad knowledge of the range of activities undertaken by the School in order to be able to assist with the management of School administration and undertake tasks and projects to support the running of a large busy School. Management of HR processes, including providing advice and guidance to staff on HR matters also form part of this role.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team as well as project management experience for both short and long term projects. Delivery of work to deadlines and the ability to work to changing priorities will be essential. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication will be key to this role.
