Graduate Entrepreneur in Residence (GEiR)

This part time (0.5FTE) fixed term post is available immediately for 12 months.

Fifty percent of our organisation is made up of Professional Services support staff that partner closely with the Academic colleges to ensure we achieve our strategy and vision.

We are seeking to recruit an early stage entrepreneur to be a champion of student enterprise and startups to the undergraduate students at the University of Exeter. The “Think, Try, Do Student Startups” programme at the University of Exeter encourages students to enhance their employability through the development of entrepreneurial skills by founding or joining startup businesses alongside their studies.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of starting their own business while studying and be actively running a business alongside the GEiR post. They will be familiar with entrepreneurial tools for business modelling and lean approaches to startups, and be able to support others in developing and using such skills.

The GEiR will need to be confident in delivering events and workshops to groups, as well as working on a 1-1 basis with student entrepreneurs.
