The Role

The Senior Student Services Administrator will provide high quality and efficient administrative, student services and academic support within the School of Philosophy and Art History (SPAH), also home to the Interdisciplinary Studies Centre (ISC). Working as part of the School’s Administration Team, and based in the General Office, the role reports to the Deputy School Manager. The key responsibility is to provide high quality administrative support with specific tasks as determined by the cycle of the academic year, for undergraduate, postgraduate and Interdisciplinary Studies students.

It is intended that the post holder will initially develop a specialism in relation to complex ISC matters, assessment arrangements within the School for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), processes around Student Assessment of Modules and Teaching (SAMT) and maintaining our website and social media presence.

Qualifications and skills

The post-holder will have a good general level of education to A Level /BTEC or equivalent. You should have recent administrative experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.  You should have excellent skills in customer services, communication, IT and administration. You should also be committed to supporting the education of students in particular and attending to their needs.
