The Role

The Student Services Administrator is responsible for providing high quality and efficient administrative, student services and academic support within the School of Philosophy and Art History (SPAH), also home to the Interdisciplinary Studies Centre (ISC).

Working as part of the School’s Administration Team, and based in the General Office, the role is student facing and deals with undergraduate, postgraduate and Interdisciplinary Study students. Duties of the post are broad and varied, as determined by the cycle of the academic year. There are also specific areas of work for which the individual is responsible for, which can include allocated year groups or projects.

Qualifications and Skills

The post-holder will have a good general level of education to A Level /BTEC or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics. You should have recent administrative experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.  You should have excellent skills in customer services, communication, IT and administration.
