Applications are invited for 2 x full-time posts of Senior Trial Coordinator for the MAPS-2 trial which is a multi-centre randomised controlled medicinal trial for patients at risk of developing pneumonia following a stroke. The post is based in the Keele University Institute for Applied Clinical Sciences (iACS) at the Guy Hilton Research Centre. The sponsor organisation is the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust, and the trial is funded by the NIHR HTA programme. 

The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Trial Manager and the whole trial team, coordinating the smooth running of the trial at multiple research sites in NHS hospital trusts across the UK. As the primary point of contact for collaborating organisations, the post-holders will liaise with NHS R&D departments, clinical research teams and hospital pharmacies to set up the trial, undertake on-site and remote monitoring, coordinate trial logistics, expedite data collection and conduct close-down activities. The post-holders should have a degree or equivalent experience, working knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines and all UK regulations for clinical trials and significant experience of working on multi-centre clinical trials in academic or NHS settings. Excellent organisational and communication skills are also essential. Regular travel within the UK and some out of hours work may be required.
