The WIN is looking for a creative and energetic Project Officer to develop a programme of Personal Development activities for school and college students from years 9–13. A team player, with experience of working with young people in formal and informal settings, the person appointed will focus on designing activities to increase confidence, foster resilience and expand horizons,

Educated to at least first-degree level (or equivalent) the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including parents/carers, teachers and youth and community groups. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to building good working relationships and developing collaborative projects with the WIN partner schools and colleges is imperative. The person appointed will also support the NCOP Manager and project team in the overall management of the project especially in delivering activities such as residentials, workshops, subject specific trips and talks.

The postholder will work as a member of the Wessex Inspiration Network (WIN) team, which aims to increase progression to higher education in areas where fewer than average numbers of qualified young people continue on to further study. The WIN is one of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) consortia funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and covers Bath, North Somerset and Wiltshire

This post is full time and is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis, with an anticipated expiry date of 31 December 2018.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
