Teaching Enhancement Officer

University of Hull - Learning Enhancement and Academic Practice (LEAP)

The University invites applications for an Teaching Enhancement Officer post that will form part of the Learning and Teaching team situated in the Learning Enhancement and Academic Practice (LEAP) Directorate at the University of Hull.

The post holder will play an important role in supporting staff at the Faculty, programme and individual level in the use of technology to enhance teaching and student learning. The post holder will provide expert advice, guidance, project management and support to enable academic staff meet the University of Hull's strategic vision, in particular developing best practice in the use of the University’s VLE, introduction of lecture capture technology and electronic management of assessment. Aligned to a particular Faculty, the post holder will liaise between the central Learning and Teaching team and a range of Faculty based groups. S/he will be expected to support and deliver innovative Learning and Teaching projects, support various academic staff development activities as well as work with other technical and support teams within the University to ensure co-ordination and integration of Learning and Teaching projects with other relevant business processes and initiatives.

The post holder should have experience in the management of technology enhanced learning projects that facilitate staff use and adoption of learning technologies to support innovations in campus-based and online learning and teaching practice.

The post holder will have a degree or equivalent in Learning Technologies or Digital Education and/or professional certification such as CMALT.
