An excellent fixed term Project Archivist vacancy has been created within our University Library. As the post holder, you will undertake a wide range of archival tasks in accordance with local and national standards to preserve and ensure accessibility of the institutional and private archives held by the University by accessioning, sorting, arranging, cataloguing, publicizing and enabling use of these collections. This role contributes to a wider project to reassess the Library’s print and archival holdings, with a focus on previously unprocessed archive collections held at the University Library’s outstore.

As the successful candidate, you will have a postgraduate qualification in Archives Administration and substantial experience of working in a professional role within an archival environment. It is important that you have knowledge and understanding of the needs of archive users. This opportunity would suit an individual who is highly organised and has excellent interpersonal skills.
