Deputy Director of Planning - Maternity Leave Cover

This role offers an exciting opportunity to anyone that is looking to be part of a busy team at the heart of planning within a leading multidisciplinary university. As a relatively young but growing service, you will play an important role in its ongoing development to deliver a highly successful and effective planning function across UCL.

As Deputy Director of Planning you will be responsible for coordinating each of the core planning processes across the year and be an active member of various working groups and committees to provide planning support and guidance. To effectively deliver our core planning, you will need to develop strong and effective working relationships with Faculty Deans, Faculty Managers, Professional Service Directors, Vice-Provosts and the Provost. The varied nature of the role requires strong organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.

This maternity cover post will commence during a busy time in the planning year so you will be expected to have a good understanding and experience of strategic planning within universities to enable you to take up the role and responsibilities quickly and effectively.

You will be required to lead the annual planning round processes for Faculties, Professional Services and Vice Provost Offices. You will also be responsible for leading the student number planning exercise to set intake targets and longer term projections for UCL’s student population. You will be lead the coordination of the UCL 2034 strategy implementation and will Chair the Tuition Fees Review Group which is responsible for coordinating the setting of tuition fees across our range of programmes

This post is a 12 months maternity leave cover vacancy, which is expected to commence in October or November 2017.
