About You

You will be creative and innovative in your approach to teaching and learning, this combined with your proven record as an outstanding primary education practitioner, and excellent subject knowledge in relation to the current primary science curriculum, will enable you to succeed.

You will be able to act as a role model, must be flexible and responsive to changing needs with a professional approach to work. Highly effective communication and collaboration skills coupled with enthusiastic, engaging and well-informed teaching abilities are essential for this post.

About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a number of outstanding colleagues to work with our team of experts in primary science education. This opportunity will enable you to contribute to our departmental vision for developing student teachers, teachers, and practitioners in the wider children’s workforce who are committed to ensuring that children enjoy middle childhood to its fullest potential, thrive, and have their voices heard. This vision is underpinned by a commitment to inclusivity and social justice.

You will work as part of a team of colleagues to teach primary science curriculum modules and professional studies modules across Primary ITE undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and other education-related programmes. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the research culture in the department, working closely with colleagues.
