About Anglia Ruskin University:

Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the role:

We’ve recently had £1 million of funding confirmed for a new ERDF project to run until September 2019. REACTOR is a co-funded (ERDF and ARU) project, which will establish an applied gaming sector in the Greater Cambridgeshire, Greater Peterborough region. Applied games take the methods and technologies of the entertainment games sector and apply them to areas such as health, education, tourism and public services. Part of your responsibilities will rest in this project.

You’ll work with a wide range of colleagues across our Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences on a number of existing projects as well as being a key player in supporting the development of new opportunities. Our Faculty has a large network of business collaborators and contacts who are essential to these opportunities, and part of your role will involve fostering these relationships. You’ll plan and deliver network events so will need to be digitally literate and willing to represent the Faculty formally and informally. This is a varied post which has direct impact on our University’s capacity to develop exciting new initiatives in a rapidly changing environment.

With a degree and/or relevant qualification, you’ll have strong research, administration and project management skills. You’ll have good IT and numeracy skills with the ability to manage your own workload and work co-operatively as a member of a team. This is a client focussed role so you’ll need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail, and able to take a flexible approach to your work.
