You will act as the first contact for all HR advisory queries, support the recruitment process and monitor and support managers in managing sickness across the university.  You will also work closely with managers to analyse and resolve casework issues, offering sound professional and consistent advice.

As a member of the HR team, reporting to an HR Business Partner, you will also play a key role in supporting organisational change across the University, as it strives to develop a culture of continuous improvement.  You will contribute towards policy development and projects.

You will be a committed HR professional who is either working towards or has graduate CIPD membership.  You will have experience of working in a busy HR, employee relations or resourcing environment, and have knowledge of key employment legislation.

You should be able to demonstrate experience of working closely with managers to resolve employee relation matters in a proactive and result focussed manner, whilst adhering to HR practices and policies.  In doing this, you should also be able to work with diverse groups of staff, across a number of disciplines offering exceptional customer service.
