This post provides the exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of new module content and in shaping the future direction of the innovative Education, Psychology and Special Educational Needs degree. This degree will combine theory and practice with a strong employability focus. The post holder will join an enthusiastic, committed and research/enterprise active team within the Department of Humanities.

The major commitment will be to teach and assess undergraduate students in the area of psychology. It is anticipated that the post holders’ duties will include being module leader and teaching across the programme in areas relating to biological psychology and neurodiversity. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of this degree, it is essential that the postholder is able to apply biological psychology/ neuropsychology to educational contexts. Flexibility to teach across the programme is required. The ability to contribute to other areas of our provision such as Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable. The post holder will also aid and support the Programme Director and team in the review and development of the Education, Psychology and SEN modules and provision. A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with employers and community organisations to inform the development of our provision and to raise awareness within the education community of the employability skills of our graduates.
