The Department of Computer Science at the University of Waikato has an established reputation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Digital Libraries, Graphics and Multimedia, Information Systems and Software Engineering.

We are seeking to appoint a full time fixed term Post-doctoral Research Fellow to contribute to our research objectives associated with our Formal Methods and Software Engineering Research Group. This position has particular responsibilities to achieve the research objectives associated with a Science for Technological Innovation grant to explore possibilities on the usage of blockchain technology for artefacts.

A PhD in a relevant area of computer science or a related field is essential as is having experience of development of Linux-like environments. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the use of github, blockchain in general, ethereum, geth, solidity and/or pyethereum, UI design and development. Essential requirements of this position are the demonstrated ability to publish in high quality academic journals, work collaboratively with others and be able to undertake some teaching if required

Salary will be in the range of NZ$72,654 to $77,818 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
