Salary: £45,400 - £54,880. It is our expectation that all appointments will be made at the starting salary of £45,400.

The Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to current students and Imperial College alumni to enable them to make informed career choices. The Service works with all year groups both undergraduate and postgraduate and has close links with academic departments and employers. As part of our efforts to ensure Imperial College students maintain an edge in their employability and career planning we deliver a wide range of services including individual guidance, workshops and seminars, information in hard and electronic copy and a full programme of careers events to enable students to interact with potential employers. The Careers Consultant will work as part of the Careers Service team to deliver one to one and group advice and guidance to students centrally and tailored for specific departments.  The consultant will also contribute to the updating and production of information resources, assist in planning and delivering events, employer liaison and relationship development and other projects as required by the Director.

The successful candidates will be self-motivated and be able to multi-task in a busy, changing student facing environment. They will be committed to excellence in customer care and possess a good understanding and experience of supporting students in the graduate labour market environment. The successful candidates will be educated to degree level and have a relevant professional qualification such as a qualification in careers guidance or CIPD and will ideally have prior experience of working in a higher education setting. They will be excellent team players and be committed to equal opportunities.
