Governance Officer

Supporting the Deputy Secretary and the Head of Student Cases you will ensure the effective management of appeal, complaint, disciplinary and other procedures which will include preparing documentation for reporting purposes.

You will offer specialist advice to staff and students on their own University cases and case management procedures. You will undertake activities associated with the general governance function of the Secretariat and will be required to service committee meetings and represent the Secretariat at relevant cross institutional meetings. Working flexibly within the team, you will support the activities of colleagues as workloads fluctuate, and will share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange between colleagues. 

You should have experience of providing effective administrative support with a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail. You will need a flexible and adaptable approach to work and be comfortable moving across support functions where the workload peaks require support.
