Wolfson College is looking for an experienced administrator to join our dynamic and fast-paced Academic Office as Academic Registrar. This is a fantastic personal and professional development opportunity for someone pursuing a career in academic administration.   

Wolfson College is one of the largest graduate colleges in the University of Oxford with over 600 students. It has a strong egalitarian and democratic ethos and is increasingly known as one of the most energetic, innovative, and welcoming scholarly communities in Oxford.

We are seeking to employ an Academic Registrar to oversee all aspects of academic administration. Reporting to the Senior Tutor the post holder will ensure that we meet the highest standards of academic quality and deliver customer focused, efficient and effective services which support enrolment, registration, assessment, progression and graduation of all students. They will work closely with the College Officers: President, Senior Tutor, Development Director and Bursar.

The Academic Registrar will play a leading role in managing student data, organising the College’s scholarships and awards, supporting key committees and monitoring academic progress. They will be a key member of the College welfare team. They will balance day-to-day student matters with long term planning, and will be working to improve administrative systems.

This is a senior, varied and rewarding role within a small team, critical for the delivery of the College’s objectives. The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level, or equivalent, and will have significant experience of academic administration at management level. They will have a capacity for devising and implementing imaginative solutions to the challenges of academic administration. They will be a proven self-starter with excellent management and interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and prioritise a heavy workload. Excellent communication skills must accompany the capacity to build relationships of trust and respect within the College and the University.
