Lecturer in English Language

Bring your expertise in the areas of sociophonetics and/or Regional Englishes to our thriving department based on the vibrant Falmer campus, where your teaching and research will embrace interdisciplinary approaches to language analysis and contribute to our growing interdisciplinary work in sociolinguistics.

To succeed in the role you will need a completed doctorate in either English Language or Linguistics and teaching experience at least to undergraduate level. High quality research publications in the area(s) of Sociophonetics and/or Regional Englishes is also essential, as is the ability to achieve high research standard and potential to build impact within our school with its research culture that informs courses at all levels.
