Depending on skills, experience and expertise the post holder will work on data from primary care databases and other large clinical databases; prepare papers for submission to peer reviewed journals; organise and help provide workshops, training/teaching on courses and research days. Applicants are expected to demonstrate an interest in the topics of research and strong quantitative skills and a good understanding of epidemiological concepts. Candidates may also have opportunities to develop their own research ideas and build on these to develop an application for future post-doctoral funding.

The post is available for 20 months in the first instance and is based at the Research Department of Primary Care & Population Health on the Royal Free Campus (London, Hampstead).

Applicants must have a PhD in epidemiology or medical statistics as well as knowledge of quantitative research methods and epidemiological study design.
