Newcastle University - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - Geography, Politics & Sociology

Based within the research and finance team within the School of Geography, Politics & Sociology, this post provides dedicated support for the running of the PEALS Research Centre, with activities ranging across research, public engagement and dialogue, and teaching and learning. Key responsibilities will include a broad range of administrative and financial tasks, including event organisation, travel booking, financial reporting, costing and processing grant applications, records maintenance, web, publicity, HR and committee support.

Applicants need to demonstrate relevant administrative experience, with strong organisational, numeracy and literacy skills. Computer literacy is also essential, including high levels of competency with the Office range of software. Duties will include liaising with colleagues within the University, collaborators and other stakeholders, therefore the successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
