The School of the Built Environment is one of 7 Schools in the University of Salford. Its primary activities are in Teaching and Learning; Research & Innovation; Enterprise and Engagement, and International activities. The School represents a community of scholars of global reach, working in unison with learners across all levels of study and research, and lifelong learning professionals and organisations committed to making a difference to the sector.

This appointment is intended to strengthen the real estate and asset management discipline through teaching, research, and academic enterprise. We are making exciting progress on consolidating our position as an international leading centre of expertise in this field and this post will create an opportunity for you to play a significant role in this consolidation.

You will have the chance to contribute to the enhancement of the national and international profile of the School of the Built Environment and achieve recognisable impact upon the academic, commercial, and professional communities.

This role will give you the platform for enhancing academic activity in quantity surveying within the School alongside the other built environment disciplines by supporting teaching and learning activity across a range of programmes and modules, such as building and civil engineering measurement, procurement, construction law and dispute resolution, construction economics, life cycle costing, construction project management and construction process management. There will be an opportunity to engage in the study programmes of the School which are delivered in international markets.
