Postdoctoral Fellow

The Teichmann group is looking for a talented postdoctoral fellow to join the team and carry out research on single cell RNAseq of blood, secondary lymphoid organs and kidney. The ideal candidate will have relevant wet lab experience as well as hands on experience of data analysis.

Essential Skills:

  • PhD in molecular biology or a relevant subject area
  • Experience with common molecular techniques including western-blotting, PCR and expression cloning
  • Basic skills with Python or similar programming language
  • Expertise with data analysis and interpretation
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and results to collaborators and occasionally present orally to large groups
  • Excellent working knowledge of the literature and practical applications of controlling gene regulation

Ideal Skills:

  • Expertise on metabolic regulation of cell and kidney function
  • Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing assays
  • Experience in stem cell biology
  • Experience working with and maintaining cell cultures
