Programme Administrator (Primary PGCE Placements and Partnerships)

This is an exciting and challenging time to be involved in administration of learning and teaching in higher education, especially in the area of Initial Teacher Education (ITE). UCL is developing and growing its ITE provision against the backdrop of rapid policy changes in the education sector. We plan, manage, support and deliver teacher training programmes for some 1,600 students. The postholder will deliver a high quality administrative service to students, colleagues and partners including schools working in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues from across the Institute. This role will initially be supporting the placements of student teachers in ITE programmes. You may be required to support programmes in other areas of academic administration to meet the needs of the department and requirements of the role. This post is available until 30 November 2018 in the first instance.

The postholder will have excellent administrative and record keeping skills with a high degree of accuracy and pay close attention to detail. The postholder will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels with a sense of tact, discretion and diplomacy. Experience of working in the Higher Education sector is desirable
