The Courtauld Institute of Art is the UK’s leading institution for teaching and research into the History of Art and the conservation of paintings and is also home to one of the finest small art galleries in the world.

As Residential and Room Booking Officer you will be working in small Facilities Team and will be responsible for managing our student Hall of Residence (Duchy House) and non-academic room bookings. 

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring Duchy House is managed efficiently to provide a positive residential experience for students and for promoting the letting of the accommodation to summer commercial guests. In addition, you will manage all non-academic room timetabling and event bookings including promoting and managing the external hire of teaching rooms. The post also requires the role holder to regularly provide break cover for the Institute’s receptionists.

You will have knowledge and experience of working in student residencies and or the hospitality sector. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of people of diverse nationality is essential. You will also have good IT and administrative, organisational skills. You will be proactive, able to work on your own initiative, identify and resolve problems and be flexible to working some evenings and weekends.
