Personal Assistant (maternity cover)

We are seeking a confident and highly motivated personal assistant to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support for Professor’s Stefan Neubauer and Paul Leeson. As senior members of the University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, their workload is large and complex with a wide range of University and NHS activities at national and international levels.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks including electronic diary maintenance, document preparation, maintenance of highly confidential information and meeting organisation all of which will involve contact with a wide range of people within the University and the NHS as well as the wider academic community and external agencies. You will be the first point of contact for all enquiries and therefore working with a high level of tact and diplomacy at all times is essential.

You will be educated to at least A-level standard (or equivalent) and have previous experience of diary management including making complex travel arrangements and meeting schedules. You will be aware of the data protection and information security guidelines relevant when dealing with confidential information and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft office and email are essential. Experience of events organisation and/or use of financial information systems would be an advantage.

This position is fixed-term for up to 1 year as maternity cover and is available to start from December 2017.
