Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing

Opportunities have arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurses (Adult) to join our highly committed pre-registration adult nursing team as Senior Lecturers/Lecturers. This is due to the increased number of students starting the course in September 2017.  The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and visionary and keen to shape nurse education.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, be educated to post-graduate level and have a practice teaching qualification. A PhD/professional doctorate is desirable.

Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential, and you’ll have a keen interest in developments in the field. You’ll be committed to the success of nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas. Experience in higher education and/or the teaching and assessing of student nurses in practice would be preferable.

The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the adult nursing programmes and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses and will be may be required to act as module leader.
