Clinical Research Fellow in Rheumatology

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Research Fellow in Rheumatology to join Professor Peter Taylor in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences based in the Botnar Research Centre, University of Oxford.

The role of Clinical Research Fellow is dedicated to the delivery of clinical research studies in rheumatic disease. You will primarily be responsible for the organisation and delivery of a funded single-centre observational, clinical study into the pathogenesis and progression of rheumatoid arthritis, but will also assist in the day-to-day execution of other clinical studies in musculoskeletal disease currently recruiting through the Clinical Trials Unit. You will be encouraged to develop an area of your own interest during the post, with a view to working toward a higher degree (e.g. DPhil or MSc), subject to funding being acquired.

You will be qualified at Rheumatology Specialist Registrar Grade and have full General Medical Council registration. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of rheumatology as well as a methodical approach to data gathering and recording of data. Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of continuing professional development are essential. Experience of clinical trials and an understanding of research methodology would be desirable.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 3 years.
