Cell Culture Technician

University of Huddersfield - School of Applied Sciences

The School of Applied Sciences at the University of Huddersfield is looking to appoint a technician to oversee and manage the operation of the Schools Cell Culture facilities.

The post will focus on the development of a fully authenticated bank of cell lines, maintain facilities and equipment and manage the ‘day to day’ operation of the facilities. The post will also involve participation in research projects designed to identify novel anti-cancer drugs. A BSc degree in a relevant subject is essential and a higher degree (MSc/PhD) is desirable.  The post will require extensive interaction with other members of the School and external collaborators and therefore you will be expected to have excellent verbal communication skills.

This is an open-ended appointment and is dependent upon the availability of specific funding in this School.  In the event of there being no further funding available to support this post you will receive appropriate notification of the termination of your employment in accordance with contractual provisions.
