Senior Lecturer in Clinical Practice

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced academic to join the Postgraduate Clinical Team to support our portfolio of Postgraduate clinical programmes and related short courses.

Main duties & responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for programme leadership on the MSc Health and Medical Education programme and contribute to the delivery of learning and teaching on new and existing programmes within the clinical postgraduate portfolio with specific focus on core modules including the final project.

The post holder is also expected to engage in research and commercial consultancy activity in relevant areas. The post holder role includes the building of external partnerships for purposes of sponsorship and knowledge transfer/consultancy activities at a professional level as part of the Department of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Postgraduate Medicine.

Skills and experience needed

You will have a current registration with an appropriate professional body or regulator and patient facing clinical experience is preferable. You will have proven track record of Teaching and Learning in the relevant specialties. Research publications in your areas of expertise, experience of applying for grants and supervising academic projects is also desirable. You should be able to work independently to deliver work over time, as well and work well as part of a team. Effective communication, both written and verbal, are also important.
