DSP Administrator

The Diplomatic Studies Programme (DSP) wishes to appoint an Administrator to work within its small close-knit team. The post entails the successful administration and delivery of the Diplomatic Studies Programme, a set of three courses (Certificate, Diploma, and Master of Studies) for postgraduate professional diplomats. The role includes extensive contact with up to 25 students per year from all over the world, and includes opportunities to accompany the course’s annual study tours within the UK and in continental Europe.

The postholder must have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal skills and experience of successfully organising events for groups. The successful candidate will also have an excellent command of English. Strong IT skills and a high degree of accuracy, coupled with administrative experience of working in an office are essential. Sound judgement, discretion, and a professional and helpful manner in dealing with a wide range of people are also required.

The post is available from early October 2017. The appointment is for 2 years in the first instance with 38 days’ annual leave, which includes 8 public holidays and 5 days taken during the Christmas closure.
