The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £35,518 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

This is a Full-time – 35 hours;  100  % full time equivalent

The role is for a post-PhD researcher who has hands-on practical experience of in vivo projects with mice that relate to thiol-redox control of cardiovascular function. Extensively experience of in vivo cardiovascular physiology, including blood pressure radio-telemetry and echocardiography is essential. Additional skills in thiol-redox biochemistry, including monitoring the oxidation state of proteins, are also required for this post and will be used to analyse changes to protein redox state in disease-relevant models in which oxidative stress occurs. Surgical skills, for example induction of murine sepsis and implantation of osmotic mini-pumps is also a crucial. The successful applicant will join a team studying the role of oxidants in cardiovascular health and disease.

The selection process will include competency based questions during a panel interview.
