Peptide Scientist (Part-Time)

TiKa Diagnostics is a small three-year-old spin out company that is 6 months away from market entrance. We are located at the St. Georges University of London in South West London, SW17. TiKa Diagnostics are specialists in designing and manufacturing diagnostics of slow growing mycobacteria. Other research projects involving a diverse interest in peptide related applications are in progress.

We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with expertise in peptide chemistry to produce, purify, and QC peptides according to ISO 13485. We are looking for a person with the ability to carry out their duties reliably with careful attention to detail. We are currently using two peptide synthesizers, HPLC and HPLC coupled ESI-MS. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, independent, and a good team player, with a strong background in peptide chemistry, HPLC, and mass spectrometry, and an interest working according to industry standards. The post is available immediately for 12 months with possibilities for extension. The interview will be early October, salary will be related to degree of experience. The position is currently only available for part-time contract (flexible working hours) up to 20 hours a week.
