Administrative Associate (HR management)

The School of Entrepreneurship and Management (SEM) at ShanghaiTech University is looking for an Administrative Associate to join our core team. As with all our positions, we’re looking for sharp, self-starting, and up-to-the-challenge candidates.



  • B.A. in any field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Bilingual (Chinese and English)
  • Strong team player
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines efficiently is required
  • Uncompromised integrity and highest sense of responsibility.


  • M.A. or M.S.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience (working in higher education or multi-national corporation, some experience in HR, project management, or marketing)
  • Proficiency in InDesign

Job Description:

  • provide administrative support to SEM with HR, including HR planning, recruitment, training and employee relations, promotion, foreigner affairs;
  • provide support to SEM faculty committee; 
  • provide support to SEM marketing efforts including copywriting and design;
  • a core member of the administration;
  • good business judgment with ability to prioritize and multitask based on urgency;
  • provide creative problem-solving skills
