Applications are invited for the post of Departmental Manager in the Economics Department at Royal Holloway, University of London.

This post presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated administrator to help build and maintain a vibrant learning environment for students and an effective working environment for academic staff.  Departmental Managers are involved in setting and overseeing the implementation of departmental policies and strategies, and are fully engaged in Faculty and College-wide administration.

Duties will include coordinating and supporting administrative team functions in the Department. You will work closely with the Head of Department, departmental colleagues and other staff from across the College to ensure effective and professional support for the smooth running of all administrative processes within the Department including maintenance of student records and accurate assessment records.

You will be able to work calmly in a pressured environment. You will be well organised and adaptable taking a proactive approach in reviewing departmental processes and practices. You will have good IT skills and be prepared to learn (if necessary) how to use IT systems that support our processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and inter-personal skills are required. You will be an excellent team player and be able to relate to staff, students, and external parties.

This is a full-time and permanent post, available from 4 December 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
