Facilities Team Leader

University of Westminster - Estates Planning & Services Department

Estates Planning & Services are recruiting for Facilities Team Leader to lead and manage the Facilities staff along with personnel from outsourced security teams, to ensure the effective day to day delivery of a customer centred facilities service.

It is an exciting time of significant change within the department: these positions sit within the new Estates Customer Service Centres, created to ensure development and adoption of consistent processes and procedures across the estate, compliant with relevant legislation, resulting in an outstanding customer experience.

Successful applicants to these roles will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of relevant service standards as the department develops and implements new working practices to ensure that local campus teams deliver services to students, staff, and visitors to the University.

To be considered for this challenging and rewarding position, applicants will be able to demonstrate a proven record in providing effective line management resulting in successful service delivery in a highly customer focused environment. Excellent communication skills combined with strong organisation and prioritisation skills and a flexible approach to the nature and hours of work will be required to ensure front of house services are run safely and efficiently.

Applicants must be either educated to degree level or hold professional qualification or have equivalent experience in a facilities management or a similar discipline. They will also have a management qualification or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates relevant levels of knowledge and skills as described in the person specification.
