We are looking for a highly motivated clinician who plans a career in clinical academic medicine. Over the 6 months, you will support a number of functional imaging research projects with strong clinical components, in neurodegenerative and neurovascular and neurogenetic disorders.

Research within the PET imaging group of the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre is conducted in a collegiate and collaborative way and it is expected that the fellow would provide clinical crossover cover for scans within other research projects.

The nature of this clinical imaging research position requires an individual who not only has formal clinical training but who is experienced and skilled in dealing with vulnerable and impaired neurological patients. The nature of the research that the fellow will support might vary depending on the challenges met and on the demand. A reasonable degree of flexibility in terms of task and schedule is therefore required.

The School is strongly committed to promoting equality and diversity, including the Athena SWAN charter for gender equality in higher education. The School holds a Silver Award which recognises their good practice in relation to gender; including flexible working arrangements, family-friendly policies, and support to allow staff achieve a good work-life balance. We particularly welcome applications from women for this post. Appointment will always be made on merit.
