Senior Higher Education Policy Adviser (Institutions)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Higher Education Policy Adviser (SHEPA) to be based in the London and East Institutional Team. In this role you will provide leadership and development to staff in the team, as well as developing and managing effective relationships with a portfolio of higher education providers. You will be responsible for ensuring work is effectively planned and delivered by the team, identifying specific interventions that the team as a whole can make to add value to the work of institutional engagement.

The post holder is also expected to make a positive contribution to the wider Institutions Directorate by supporting continuous improvement and assist in the delivery of high quality service to external stakeholders and internal colleagues.

This post is for a permanent contract at 1 FTE. Job share or part time applications at a minimum of 0.8FTE will be considered.

Using powers in the Higher Education and Research Act, it is intended that the Office for Students (OfS) will assume the responsibilities of HEFCE from 1 April 2018 at which point it is currently anticipated that this role will transfer to the OfS.
