Research Assistant

University of Cambridge - Department of Haematology

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to join the research group of Dr. Ana Cvejic at the University of Cambridge, Department of Haematology (http://www.haem.cam.ac.uk/staff/senior-staff/dr-ana-cvejic/). Dr. Ana Cvejic's group is based at the Welcome Trust Sanger Institute.

The research focuses on the regulation of haematopoiesis in homeostasis and disease, using patient's samples and zebrafish as model system.

The post holder will be working with a number of molecular biology techniques, in particular single cell transcriptomics, cell biology techniques, live imaging and maintenance of zebrafish transgenic lines. Experience in handling RNA and DNA and with any of the techniques mentioned above would be advantageous.

The post holder will be a good team player, be highly organised and possess good verbal and written communication skills. The post holder should have a BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in Life Sciences.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 30 months in the first instance.
