A unique opportunity has arisen at CPPE to cover the secondment of our Director.

At the heart of this post is the strategic development and delivery of an annually £3.2m commissioned programme of learning - within a longer term contract - to support the development of pharmacy services across the NHS, and the continuing professional development of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

You will lead the CPPE Leadership Team and be part of the CPPE Executive Operational Board.  You will also manage the planning, design, development, evaluation and delivery of postgraduate learning programmes to support the pharmacy workforce and facilitate their continuing professional development.  You will ensure human and financial resources are correctly managed to ensure effective management of the Centre’s HQ.

You will require outstanding leadership skills to ensure that CPPE has the best operational and strategic systems in place bespoke to the needs of the pharmacy profession whilst ensuring HEE’s priorities. A highly skilled communicator, you will be persuasive and influence outcomes, facilitating transformational change.

To manage this ambitious organisation, you will need to facilitate effective networks including Health Education England, NHS England, General Pharmaceutical Council, professional bodies, Higher Education Institutions, employers, providers of pharmacy services and other key stakeholders across the health and social care system.

You will be expected to have some experience in the development and delivery of learning at scale, alongside organisational leadership. A good working knowledge of the NHS aspirations for pharmacy profession is essential.
