Grants Officer

University of Oxford - Department of Physics

Clarendon Laboratory
Parks Road

The Department of Physics are seeking a motivated Grants Officer to join a busy team, based in the Clarendon Laboratory, Parks Road, Oxford. The post is permanent.

Grants Officers are the main liaison and support to academics in managing the finances of their research grants portfolio. In Physics this runs to many millions of pounds per annum and therefore this role is key to the financial health of the department.

We are looking for someone with a range of financial and computer skills (a sound working knowledge of Excel is essential); but also someone with the confidence and communication skills to liaise with a wide range of financial and non-financial staff in the department and the wider university.

Experience of costing, planning and budgeting is important as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to establish their next step in a career in Grants and Grants Management.

Please direct enquiries about the role to Simon Probert (simon.probert@physics.ox.ac.uk).

You will be required to upload a supporting statement, CV and details of two referees as part of your online application.

Only applications received before 12.00 midday on 9 October 2017 can be considered.
