The post carries a high degree of management and advisory responsibility for the administration of the University’s services to support the delivery of career development support for clinical and non-clinical researchers within the life sciences.  In collaboration with the Head of Research & Knowledge Transfer the post holder will create a motivating environment where people are challenged, developed, encouraged and supported to achieve outstanding results, in line with the objectives of the College and University.

The post holder will be required to work alongside academic training leads to identify training requirements and ensure the design and delivery of training and support packages to fill identified unmet needs. The role will be required to work closely with colleagues across the R&KT Office, wider College of Medical and Dental Sciences and University to ensure the efficient and effective co-ordination of related activity.

The post will be a senior manager in the R&KT Office, with line management responsibility for at least two posts.
