Senior Technician

The post holder will be responsible for processing blood and bone marrow samples from patients with leukaemia for the purpose of cell banking and molecular diagnostics. This will involve cell separation, cryo preservation of cells, extraction of DNA and RNA and separation of plasma. Documentation of each step is an important element of this work which is performed according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The collected patient samples will be used to determine treatment and for research to improve patient care.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), available immediately and is fixed term for one year.
