Central Biotechnology Services (CBS) is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Cardiff University Technology Facility based in the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences with a remit across the entire College. We provide genomics and bioinformatics, proteins and diagnostics and cell analysis/imaging platforms, services, training and expertise to local researchers and external organisations. We also offer opportunities for hosting companies and can provide laboratory facilities, technological support, academic consultancy and access to other university resources. Options for contract research and managed services are backed up by our proven track record of working with not-for-profit organisations, start-ups, SMEs and corporates.

We are seeking to appoint an individual to improve the market position of CBS and increase awareness and business growth for both the internal research and external client communities. The successful applicant will transform CBS Business Development by embedding a strategic approach that enables CBS to deliver on its goals. The postholder will identify external links with industry and a wide range of other stakeholders and initiate, develop and maintain these links whilst also promoting Clinical Innovation, the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences and the wider University.
