Student Journey has four departments within the Directorate (Academic Services, Customer Liaison, Library Services and Special Collections and Student Services). The department aims to create and maintain a high-quality, accurate set of information on each student that can be used to effectively manage their application, initial and subsequent enrolments, assessment outcomes, progression and conferral of awards throughout their studies.

About the Post

The Fees and Funding team forms part of the Student Systems and Information Section within Academic Services. We are seeking to recruit an Officer within the Fees and Funding Team. Reporting to the Manager of the team you will contribute to the financial sustainability and growth of the University through ensuring that tuition fees are correctly set and recorded on the University Student Records System (SITS) and provide accurate and timely reporting to the Student Loans Company.

You will also be responsible for assessing, recording and authorising of payments made to students under various bursary and scholarship schemes and US Federal Loans. Additionally you will contribute to the positive experience and successful outcomes for students providing advice and guidance on financial aspects of their Student Journey. You should have excellent communication (written and verbal), be customer focussed with a logical and methodical approach. Additionally you should be highly organised, have an understanding of fees and funding in the HE environment.
