Events Officer

University College London - The Bartlett School of Architecture

The Events Officer will work closely with colleagues to coordinate a vibrant schedule of events, both for the public and for private audiences, including exhibitions, lectures, networking events and community engagement initiatives across two UCL sites, 22 Gordon Street Bloomsbury and Here East, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The post holder will undertake the operational tasks for events, ensure public events are promoted appropriately and complete post-event follow up, including data capture, guest correspondence and internal reporting.   This post holder will spend around 50% of his/her time dedicated to events at The Bartlett School of Architecture, primarily at 22 Gordon Street, and the remainder of time coordinating events at Here East, supporting the work of the five academic departments based at the new UCL site: Civil, Environment and Geomatic Engineering, Computer Science, The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources, Bartlett Real Estate Institute and The Bartlett School of Architecture. We are looking for an experienced events professional, with a creative, positive and enthusiastic approach. You will have experience of coordinating successful events, such as exhibitions and receptions, within a higher education or creative industries context and a robust knowledge of best practice for event coordination. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will be adept at managing competing deadlines and working effectively under pressure as well as being willing to undertake routine events administration.
