Project Support Process Engineer

Starting Salary: £25,728 (Grade 6) p.a.

Applications are invited for the full time position of a Research Project Support Process Engineer working in The BioComposites Centre.

The successful candidate should be educated to A level, NVQ level IV (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or possess equivalent experience. The successful candidate should be an experienced trade/craft engineer with mechanical experience and an understanding of electrical systems and will be expected to help run unique pilot plant facilities located in Mona, Anglesey, as part of the BEACON project and be able to apply their skills to a wide range of tasks in a research environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operation of pilot scale production processes and will assist with the running of the pilot scale equipment and the safe running of trials. An ability to fault find and quickly develop solutions to new problems is essential. The role holder will be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible and the position is available until 30 June 2019 in the first instance.
