Job overview:

The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance is looking to recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance.

As part of the Accounting and Finance team, you will be teaching mainly on undergraduate accounting and finance programmes, taking active responsibility for their module(s) and contributing to or leading in the design and development of module content.

You will be able to devise appropriate and challenging learning outcomes and set interesting and appropriately demanding assessment tasks.

Maintaining the currency of module content and incorporating benchmarks and professional body standards will be key, alongside delivery of an engaging and challenging student experience.

You will also be actively involved in engaging in external networks and personal professional development activities which will be integral to supporting student success, driving learning with innovative approaches and real world applications of knowledge.

Working with colleagues, you will actively support the Department in meeting performance and external profile objectives.

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Previous teaching and research experience
  • An international perspective/experience of teaching international students and the capacity to undertake academic management and curriculum development would be advantageous.
  • Qualified to postgraduate/PhD level in a relevant subject and/or hold relevant accounting professional qualifications.
